Ascending the stairs of the main tower in good weather conditions is worth the effort – the viewing platform allows for a marvellous view on the river “Leine” and the “Calenberger Land”.
For a long time, the breathtaking view from the tower’s viewing platform was reserved exclusively for the royal family. Today, every visitor who manages to climb the 160 steps to the platform is rewarded with a stunning view of the “Leine” valley and the “Calenberger Land”.
When the sun shines, you can see as far as Hanover and Hildesheim. A guided tour takes you to the viewing platform. Note that the offer is restricted to the summer season and suitable weather conditions.
Group tours (10 to 15 persons) require advance booking. Larger groups will be split and start at 30 minute intervals.
|Per Person||5,00 €|
For safety reasons the number of participants is limited to 15 persons. Children need to be accompanied by an adult. The duration of the tour, including ascent, time at the viewing platform and descent, is approx. 30 minutes.
The guided tour “Ascent to the tower” may be cancelled due to bad weather conditions or other incidents. Please note that a mobile service transmitter is installed on the viewing platform, which can affect the function of pacemakers.
