Marienburg Castle, built around 1856 to 1867, is not entirely free of barriers. The inner courtyard (gravel!), the shop, the event hall “Carriage Shed”, as well as the toilets are barrier-free. Toilet facilities for disabled persons are available. There is one step at the entrance to the restaurant and the event hall “Horse Stable”.
The guided castle tour includes six steps, and partly (historical kitchen, chapel) winding stairs. The exhibition on the first floor and the main tower’s viewing platform (via second floor, 160 steps) are only accessible by winding stairs.
Please understand that prams/buggies cannot be taken into the museum. Baby-changing facilities are available.
Rollators and mobility walkers are generally accepted.
We provide bicycle stands in front of the castle; biking inside the inner courtyard is not permitted. Schloss Marienburg GmbH does not assume liability for stolen or damaged bicycles or valuables. Please note that we cannot offer lockers for your valuables.
Please understand that dogs/pets can not be taken/carried on guided tours.
