Directions

Coming from Berlin or Dortmund (A2):

At junction Hanover Ost, change from A2 to A7 in the direction Kassel

Take exit #62 Hildesheim

Coming from Hamburg or Kassel (A7):

Take exit #62 Hildesheim

From exit #62 follow national road B1 in the direction of Hameln and drive through Hildesheim

After 7 km, at the entrance to the town of Mahlerten, turn right in the direction of Nordstemmen

You will see Marienburg Castle sitting on the hill in front of you

In Nordstemmen, at the second roundabout take the third exit and follow the signs

Parking

Sufficient free parking for cars, camper vans and coaches is available about 200 metres from Marienburg Castle. Vehicles are parked at owner’s risk.

By bus

Take bus line 300 from Hanover Central Bus Station (ZOB) to Pattensen Central Bus Station (ZOB). From Pattensen Bus Station take bus line 310 with destination Eldagsen (in most cases it is the same bus continuing). Get off at the stop Marienburg Abzweig Nord, from where it is about 2 km walk to Marienburg Castle.

From 4 March until 5 November 2020(???) you can conveniently reach Marienburg Castle by direct bus, departing at Hanover Main Station. Download the bus schedule here.

Mit der regiobus Linie 300 können Sie Schloss Marienburg aus Hannover erreichen. Den Fahrplan finden Sie hier.

Von März bis November hält der Bus direkt am Schloss. Von der Bushaltestelle Schloss Marienburg sind es ca. 200 Meter zu Fuß bis zum Schloss.

Von hier sind es ca. 3 Kilometer zu Fuß bis zum Schloss.
