Marienburg was indeed intented a s a fairy tale castle, a royal castle and a summer residence for King George V and his wife Queen Marie. Architecturally it was designed to follow the neo gothic trend and in this it has succeeded both inside and out. This book is specifically intended to retell the story of the place and noumerus historic and current illustrations bring the history back to life.
